Playing with Dreambox : Part I

January 2nd, 2008 by xwings

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!! phew … it was a long break :)

Just came back from Bangkok not too long ago. During my stay i finally got chance to play with Satellite decoder and satellite dish. I am playing with a 90cm dish with Dreambox. The Dreambox model that i use is DM500-S, plan to connect Thai satellite. Along the way, facing some problems. Well, don’t expect a satellite noob can do much magic here.

Quick introduction on DM500-S, the Dreambox 500S is the smallest Linux satellite TV receiver, with 1 x Smartcard-Reader.
